Entrepreneurial Journeys “Under 30 Takeover”

*All Entrepreneurs are Under 30 Years Old!

Monthly Speaker Series

March 22, 2017 @ 5pm at HQ Greensboro

Jack Hoskins  Founder & CEO, JK2 Designs

JK2 Designs is the burgeoning business of 19 year old Jack Hoskins. Hoskins began developing mobile games and apps on a lark as a middle school student. He turned those skills into a part-time gig by developing and pitching apps to a few local businesses. But he says he soon realized that there was more potential in third-party apps.

At 15, Hoskins recruited his classmates and friends to join him to design all manner of apps — a reference guide to Essential Oils, coupon apps, guides to restaurants featured on food TV shows. But by far their biggest hits have been with Minecraft apps.

JK2 Designs’ Mods for Minecraft Pocket Edition was the third best-selling paid iPad app for three weeks over the summer, according to the App Store official charts. The company’s Lucky Block Mod for Minecraft Pocket Edition also peaked as the third best-selling iPad app the first week of the year.

Hoskins says JK2 Designs has reached 5 million users. He’s got 10 developers, a customer service rep and a content writer, and he is constantly recruiting for new employees. He wants to be the largest app development company in the world.
